In this unit, kids will explore the science behind Christmas conifers—how they grow, what they’re made of, and why they’re an important part of agriculture and natural resources. Whether they’ve visited a Christmas tree farm before or are learning about conifers for the first time, this unit takes them on a scientific journey through the history, structure, and diversity of Christmas trees. By the end, they’ll understand what makes conifers unique—from their lifecycles and anatomy to how we identify different species.
